Candidate  Spacecraft ID Extension for 3GPP Network Parameters

Creation date: 2024-10-16 19:41:34 Update date: 2024-10-16 19:51:06

OID: 1.3.112.4.71

Notes:

1. The IMEI is the unique “SCID” for a spacecraft communications asset.
2. The IMEI is assigned by the handset vendor and the IMSI is assigned by the network provider, the SANA just registers the IMEI and IMSI to the spacecraft.
3. Note the 3GPP UEs, eNBs, gNBs are be multi-band and multiple RF frequency bands are typically in operation.
4. Spacecraft utilizing 3GPP must register their IMEI and IMSI with the SANA.
5. The publicly-displayed IMSI value must be obscured to show only the final 4 digits and the hidden information shall be enough to maintain security; only privileged administrators are able to see the full entry due to security and privacy considerations.
6. The assigned ISO OID of any spacecraft which is registered with one of these 3GPP entries will be used to tie it to the rest of the spacecraft SCID (or other) entries.
